Outreach and Engagement
Since its establishment, the Sustainable Agroecosystems group has been actively engaged in making its research more accessible to a wider network of curious minds all around the world. Our outreach activities aim at fostering the dialogue between students, scientists and different stakeholders of the food system about the importance of sustainable agroecosystems for food security and climate resilience. Throughout the years, we’ve been involved in various science communication fairs and exhibitions, translating our work in digestible nourishing insights for the many.
With our Edible Research project (SNF AGORA), we have been working extensively with teenagers and their teachers to promote a better understanding of the complex issues that evolve around working towards global food security, enhancing producer and consumer responsibility and appropriate ways of dissemination of scientific results.
With the SAE Greenhouse Art-Lab we’re now fostering a space for creative dialogues with local communities – a space open to artists, curators, cultural practitioners that all interconnect with the research of the Sustainable Agroecosystems group, shedding light on agroecology and the collective movements transforming food and agricultural systems sustainably. The SAE Greenhouse has been full of nourishing exchanges, insightful encounters and fruitful collaborations. We shared food, thoughts, texts, poetry, stories, feelings, struggles and practices. We learned and unlearned. We read and discussed. We built bridges among us - spaces of dialogues, spaces of possibilities.
